Two young girls, sisters or best friends, look out from a New England balcony at the shore and a tiny sailboat on the horizon. Shadows on lace dresses flicker in the breeze. Although the girls' faces are not in view, their hope and anticipaton of summer pleasures can be felt. "Summer breezes" are always a pleasure!
Created by tireless watercolor techniques, the sense of anticipation that imbues this work with a special mood won it "Best of Show" in a Juried Art Exhibit in Hollywood in 2006. What a beautiful memory!
